We’re now setting up the Steam Store page for our second game and it should be whislist-able soon!

As part of this process, I need to fill the Store page with screenshots and posters representing the game. I’m in the process of testing out different images to represent the Game, which is a challenge, as there isn’t really a specific image that defines the game, not one that would entice players at least (there are leaves, lots and lots of leaves). There are some scenes that could look very cool and attract players, but those ones would be very spoiler heavy. I’m still unsure how exactly the main menu/title page will look for the game, so I’m putting together some mock-ups of potential title screens along with logos to experiment with.

Putting together small sketches and mock ups is quite fun and it’s interesting to see which different directions we can potentially take the game. The most important thing for me is to have an accurate representation of the story and game-play, to make sure we get the right audience for the game.

Once the store assets have been made, the next important job is to make a game trailer. For this game I’m considering making a game-play trailer and a theatrical trailer. Being a story heavy game, I think it would benefit from having the 2 different versions. However, being a perfectionist, the theatrical trailer could turn into a mini movie and need to be a late addition to the store page… Saying that, the most important trailer is the game-play one so that potential players know what they’re getting into. It is likely that the store page will have updated images added later, as the plan is to have the game available to wishlist on Steam for a long time to grow as much interest as possible before release!

Fingers crossed, by the end of the month, our second game will be on Steam!
