Starting a Company

Before beginning my professional journey within Game Design, I dreamed about making my own games one day. This included the possibilities of creating my own little Indie Studio and making Video Games my way.

Turns out, an economic crisis and the Games Industry going through ‘troubled times’ gives me the, somewhat perfect, opportunity. I will continue to gain experience so I can keep on top of the industry. It still won’t necessarily help me in getting a professional job as a Game Designer in the future, as this won’t be AAA experience, which is what a lot of jobs require. But hey, I refuse to give up on this career path. So, keep on keeping on.

Taking this leap was a hard decision to make. Yes of course it is 100% what I want to do, but on the other hand. Money. Sucks not to have it. Especially with me being adamant to make our first game on Steam free. (I have a great eye for business, I know.)

Ignoring the funding for now. I am beyond excited at the prospect of making the games I want. Something that a lot of Designers won’t have the opportunity for at all. I have a very detailed roadmap for the coming years, with the first few games in various stages of production and planning. I cannot wait to release them into the world, for you all to (hopefully) enjoy!
